Nekisha Michelle Kee, ACSW — The Ready Woman is a commanding, culture-shifting voice in love, healing, and personal power. A psychotherapist, life coach, author, media personality, and Psy.D. student in Clinical Psychology, Nekisha is sought after for her rare ability to blend clinical excellence, spiritual depth, and lived wisdom with unapologetic Black woman brilliance. She earned her undergraduate degree from Virginia State University (HBCU-proud) and her Master’s in Social Work from The University of Cincinnati, with advanced doctoral training at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. An active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, her work centers on trauma-informed care, attachment, and relationship decision-making—particularly for plus-size Black women who are ready to break up with their past and claim the unapologetic authority to bounce back into a redesigned life. She is the creator of The Plus Side of Love and The Ready Woman Society, frameworks that teach marriage-minded dating with dignity as a standard, not a trend. Known for her charismatic, preacher-meets-professor delivery, Nekisha is a magnetic speaker who fills rooms, moves audiences, and leaves people changed.

An internationally lived thought leader currently based in Mexico, Nekisha’s influence spans therapy rooms, global stages, airwaves, and publishing. She is the host of Love At Every Curve and the author of The Ready Woman, Diary of a Ready Woman I, and Diary of a Ready Woman II. Her voice and work have been featured on KTLA Morning News 5 (Los Angeles) and spotlighted by Tamron Hall, HGTV, EBONY, SUCCESS, Upscale Magazine, Rolling Out, and ACHI Magazine, where she was also a featured cover story. In recognition of her impact, she has been nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year and Woman of the Year by ACHI. With a powerful 15-year career as a social worker, Nekisha has served as Regional Director of Therapeutic Foster Care in Cleveland, Ohio, and Director of Adoptions in Los Angeles, California, bringing leadership, compassion, and visionary systems thinking to every role she holds.

Affectionately known as the only plus-size matchmaker, Nekisha has supported hundreds of fluffy Black women in finding love with marriage-minded men, while redefining what healthy, safe, and celebrated partnership looks like at every curve. She also curates global transformational retreats, guiding women across borders into embodied healing, spiritual restoration, and elevated self-worth. At the heart of her work is a powerful truth: she was her very first client.

Nekisha does what she does because she wanted better for herself—body, soul, and spirit—and once she understood what was possible, she committed to teaching it so women like her would have the opportunity to live extraordinary lives rooted in love, safety, and bliss.
